1999
Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS --> Version 6 STi Hybrid

This is the second GC in the family. Its heart came from my Group N GC
STi
which was originally a Version 6 STi RA Limited.
Plan "A" involved using all Ver 6 STi parts. I had everything except
the intake manifold
and wiring loom to complete it. A company was able to source a
version 6 loom from gr8wheels, but 2 months later (during the swap)
found that the
loom was corroded. Plan "B" to use USDM WRX parts to finish the swap.
Sourcing another Version 6 harness wasnt looking good if I wanted the
car in a timely fashion. Below you will see the parts used in order to
get the long block to work.
I was hoping for a replica of my Group N car(Rolling spare parts bin),
but in the end I ended up with a car thats more reliable for daily
purposes. Its still has pleanty of
spares to compliement my other parts bin at a rally.

The donor. Group N Version 6 WRX STi, with TJ-Speed Group N built motor
from Japan.
